With 10 years’ experience working as a business advisor for E-Factor providing start-up and new to business advice to small and medium sized businesses, Julie brings her 29 years’ experience working for HMRC to bear, giving guidance to clients with business planning, book keeping, tax and customer service advice. Julie can dedicate time to you with telephone or one-to-one consultations, book you on workshops where you can discuss how you can turn your ideas, aspirations and experiences into a profitable enterprise or discuss how you can grow and develop your existing business.

About Kevin Franklin

Kevin is a Business Adviser and Coach with over 30 years’ experience within National Training Organisations, Specialist Education, Charities, Manufacturing and Small Business sectors.
Currently working with the Humber LEP’s Business Growth Programme Kevin can help with all aspects of business development providing strategic, unbiased and objective one-to-one support to individuals, looking to start their own business, through to supporting established businesses to grow, scale up, change or diversify their business model.

About Tony Parkinson

Held senior positions in the Construction Industry, Energy Management and Metering and Managed his own company, providing specialist business advice to major companies in the UK and Europe.

As Performance Manager he supports the Business Team and ensures that the projects meet our contractual clients aims and provide support, to local businesses, that makes a difference to their performance.

As Estates Manager he ensures that our property portfolio provides leading edge facilities for tenants and to grow facilities in order that we can continue the long term, free, support provided by our specialist business advisors.

About Gina Waterhouse

Gina has 20 years’ experience working with businesses and organisations to support growth, access finance and develop their workforce. As joint owner in a local manufacturing business, she has an excellent understanding of the day to day challenges of operating an SME.

Currently working with the Greater Lincolnshire LEP’s Business Growth Programme, Gina can provide impartial one-to-one support and a range of resources to help your business develop and grow, whether you’re starting up, scaling up or a well-established business.

Jeanette Logan

About Jeanette Logan

I have worked in the Health and Social Care Sector for the last thirty-eight years, and I am passionate about supporting the Care Sector to develop and grow. I came to E-Factor with a great deal of experience in setting and achieving the objectives of organisations through effective business planning. My previous roles include working within the Local authority, the NHS, Private, Voluntary and Community Organisations.

I will provide practical advice through completing a full health check of the business, work on business planning and look at any specific networks, workshops, training and links into obtaining grants tailored to individual needs.

Having worked in this Sector for such a long time I know from experience how it can be very busy, stressful and challenging but also extremely rewarding. My role as a specialist Business Advisor with E-Factor is to assist businesses on an individual basis, through providing effective business support to allow them the opportunity to take some time to reflect on a way forward to achieve success in their future goals.

Rachel Appleton

About Rachel Appleton

I have over 18 years’ experience in the food industry for large international companies and local SME’s. I have a degree in Business and Politics from DMU Leicester, and started my career as a buyer at McDonalds in London. I then came home to Grimsby and started working at a number of fish & seafood companies in the town, in various positions such as Buyer, Planner, Head of Operations and Head of Supply Chain, NPD & Purchasing.
My passion for food saw me move into New Product Development, and eventually I took the position of Head of Innovation, launching a range of iconic M&S lines over the coming years.

I have joined the team as the Food Sector Business Advisor on the GAIN project, where I will work with individual businesses to provide practical advice, a business overview and analysis, workshops, training and the help them to grow and achieve their goals.

Having run her own business and drawing on 30+ years of experience, she has delivered local, regional and national European Funding contracts to support clients from a broad range of industries and help them address business and workforce development strategies.
Currently working with the Humber LEP Growth Hub on the #GrowMySME programme, whether you are a sole trader or a larger business, her skills will help you negotiate the ever-changing funding landscape to access support and finance to help overcome barriers to growth.

Tim has 31 years’ experience running his own businesses and 10 years’ experience as a business adviser, helping E-Factor champion the cause of local businesses in North East Lincolnshire.

Currently working with the Humber LEP Growth Hub to ensure that local businesses receive the best advice available, he works with business owners on a one-to-one basis to analyse and evaluate opportunities, overcome barriers to growth and create workable plans to achieve business goals. He can help you stand back, look at the bigger picture and give you the confidence and motivation to make a real difference to your business.
