About the hosts;
Charlotte McMullen, Trading Standards Officer for North East Lincolnshire Council has16 years experience working as a Trading Standards Officer. This role includes advising and enforcing trading standards regulatory requirements for businesses across North East Lincolnshire. Charlottes speciality lies in advising the various different businesses involved in the food sector on product labelling, including allergens.
Rachel Appleton, Food Business Advisor for E-Factor Business, has over 20 years’ experience in the food industry, working for large international companies and local SME’s. As the specialist GAIN Food Business Advisor uses knowledge and experience of the sector to help support local businesses. Rachel works closely with start-ups in the food and hospitality sector, covering the legal aspect of setting up a food business, all the way through to an established fish processing business looking to grow, pivot and diversify.
