Robsons Florist & Greengrocers has been a much-loved community shop in the heart of Cleethorpes for many years. As a response to the coronavirus outbreak, the team switched focus to assist customers with their personal safety introducing fruit and vegetable boxes with home delivery – offering free delivery to key workers in the NHS.
George Woolliss, of Robsons said: “We found that getting flowers was becoming more difficult but knew it would be important for people to have fresh produce, so we decided to focus on vegetable and fruit boxes and prioritise home deliveries. By changing our focus, we can keep jobs. The team are all mucking in together and once lockdown has lifted, we are expecting to stay busy.”
These changes to the business have been supported by Julie Sweeney, E-Factor Business Advisor. “The information that we have received has been vital. They are keeping us in the loop, advising us and making suggestions to support our changes. The support has been -brilliant.”
